People often ask where GNOME 3 is going, and it can often seem that the future is hard to predict. Yet, if you examine our progress to date, our ongoing work and our plans, it is possible to get an idea of what the future holds. In this talk, I will look at how we can expect the GNOME 3 user experience to evolve in the next 12 months, and I will present some design initiatives that are likely to occur in the future. In doing so, I will talk about some of the things that we can look forward to, as well as some of the challenges that will need to be overcome.
