In the tradition of InterSpeech, InterSpeech 2012 emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of speech research, this time further broadening its scope to also include applications to biomedicine and health. InterSpeech 2012 was the 13th Conference in the annual series of Interspeech events. It was held in Portland, Oregon, 9-13 September 2012, under the sponsorship of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA).
